jaeger kitchen redesign.
German Village is known for preservation of original architecture. Keith and team was challenged yet elated to be a part of this historic remodel. The overall goal was to delve back to the 1920’s era and give the home a vintage nod. From start to finish, this kitchen was elevated with class and style.
kicking things off
To brighten the space, Keith and the owners looked into duplicating a window that was in the living room and adding the same style into the kitchen. This required the removal of existing cabinetry and microwave to make room for the new window.
out with the old, in with the new.
Once the new window was installed, we focused on elevated appliances, vintage inspired details and smooth surfaces. Keith used natural stone for the counter and flooring with a regal checkerboard pattern. Custom built cabinetry was installed for quality with every piece built for organization.
New life was restored into this kitchen with every elevated element. The fluting around the island adds tactile texture, while the rounded counter delivers a uniquely warm finish. To integrate the kitchen into the dining room, a dual-sided China cabinet with Cremone bolts was implemented. The RL family filled it with treasured tea sets that blended effortlessly in the cabinet.
Several vintage lights were purchased from E-bay, which felt right in the historical home. To mirror the aesthetic, antique-inspired light switches were installed as well.
MEET the romer-lee family
C and D were wonderful to work with. From start to finish, the couple focused with Keith on preservation of the property, while giving it an upscale update. They could feel Keith’s excitement about injecting new life into their heirloom home and making it a beautiful kitchen for cooking and enjoying meals together. Together with Keith, their personal style is displayed throughout the entire space.
