acadia kitchen redesign.

Our client envisioned a kitchen that felt more welcoming for entertaining while introducing a refined, European influence. The goal was a space that encouraged conversation and connection — one that felt timeless and elevated, yet comfortable enough for everyday gatherings with friends and family.

kicking things off

A central wall between the kitchen and family room created separation, making it difficult to stay connected while cooking. The raised bar further disrupted the flow between the kitchen and dining area, limiting how the space functioned during gatherings and everyday use.

out with the old, in with the new.

With a desire for black cabinetry, we designed a kitchen that nods to old-world European character while remaining bright and inviting. Thoughtfully layered lighting ensures the space feels warm and balanced, allowing the darker palette to feel rich rather than heavy.

One of the standout details is the use of backless cabinetry, allowing the brick backsplash to remain visible across the entire wall. Integrated LED strip lighting within each cabinet adds depth and glow, elevating the space with a subtle sense of craftsmanship and refinement.
