Interior Design Styles vs Trends
As designers we have seen every home trend come and go. When we work with our clients, our personal goal is to go beyond trends to reflect your personal living style. While trends can give short-term appeal an updated lift, Interior Design Styles help clients choose an aesthetic which mirrors their everyday or even imaginative lifestyle. During our first conversation, our team digs in deep to discover your dreams and goals. If the client has a vision in place, we work with it. If they need a little guidance along the way, that's where we turn to Interior Design Styles to give our clients extra inspiration.
When you're on the search for renovation creativity, here are a few of our favorite styles we have implemented in our home improvement projects:
Mid-Century Modern: A design style that is uncluttered and nature inspired, with a mix of warm elements like wood and structural materials like glass or aluminum. While the goal of the home is to be functional with minimal details, bold colors boast personality like the red and teal blend in the Highland House below.
Highland House
Contemporary: Slated with chic, ever-changing appeal, this design blends traditional with futuristic simplicity. Like Mid-Century Modern designs, it is known for minimal decor, and maximum functionality. The color pallet is effortless and elegant with noteworthy neutrals and the fixtures are oftentimes matte black or brushed nickel.
Mediterranean: Influenced with European old world charm, this style evokes grand glam into home design. With oversized columns, and ornate elements, there are endless options for channeling your inner castle charisma.
These are our favorite design styles, more to come in part 2 of this blog series!
